Query update

Query letter re-edited
Now must work on latest edit of Broken. I have decided to add a little edge to story. While writing it I always thought it could be a little tougher, embarrassing for the main character.
My hope had been that some of my older kids from TKD could read it, but I am faced with the reality that this story is intended for a more mature audience. 15 and up. I am not planning on using the word F@#k!
I discussed this some with author Mike Mullin and it is still taboo and I don't think its necessary.

Summary of Broken

BROKEN  is a coming-of-age novel told from a guys point of view. It is a tough, unflinching look into the troubled mind of a teenager trying to become socially acceptable. Mostly though, he just wants to get laid!

Fifteen year old Steve spends endless nights dreaming of getting the girl. He's overweight, not popular and has no self - confidence. Not too much to overcome, right? This is the story of how he busts his ass to get what he wants.

Along with Duck, his friend, BROKEN shows how they make this happen.

Steve's hard work pays off when Kelly, a hot, beautiful girl from school. notices him. Caught up in his rapture, he finds love isn't easy. In fact, it's a pain in the ass. Problems. Problems. Problems. Not enough damn time! Family! Work 3 to 4 days a week! Duck! Getting his Camaro running finally! Dropping weight! All this with school standing in the way!

Learning to deal with all the crap, helps him become the man he wants to be.

Until an extremely powerfull punch in the guts, betrayal, leaves him broken.
